  1. As maid of honor, let me be the first (in this guest book) to congratulate you two on your upcoming nuptials. I don’t want to give away any of my speeches, but suffice it to say I couldn’t be happier for my little sister or for gabe who has become one of my best friends.

  4. Wow, This sight is to die for!!! Kudos to the fantastic four for yet another beautiful contribution to the world. I have nothing but love and yummy goodness in my heart for the gabe and the nancy, and like the lovely lorna am honored to be a part of it. Whatever you need, just say it.

I know Lorna said no wings but Sean and I are still doing the fire breathing drop from the sky with ribbons entrance right? Trust me, its totally tasteful! Very much in the realm of Sandy and I new Year’s Eve..classy!

  6. Nangabe – Gabenan – whichever way you write it, you two make a perfect pair. We couldn’t be more delighted about your marriage and are so very happy for you. You both are very special to us and we love you dearly!!
This website is terrific (thanks, Sean and Sandy) and will be a perfect way to keep up with the latest news; that is, if we aren’t able to “chat” on the phone.
Enjoy all the planning and preparation for your big day, as Aunt Bonnie calls it “the wedding of the year. This is a wonderful time and will be full of happy memories. Enjoy them all. We’re looking forward to sharing some of them with you. This is all so exciting for all of us.

  8. you guys are amazing. what can we say about nan and gabe that hasn’t been said already. whenever you see them you know the party is about to start. and not some cheesy party where we use the word “party” as a verb, but a warm, sincere, tasty, energizing and reaffirming in humanity type of party. what was in the air in the western addition, mid/late 90’s to the 21st century? i as well was bit by the lovebug. yes, i met, fell in love and married my wife there but in some great, non-mormon or power exchange way, i also fell in love with my roommates, the golden gaters and all of our colorful circle of friends. congratulations, we love you all and although it may not be at the wedding, we can’t wait for lily mei to meet her crazy aunts and uncles in new york.

  9. Hola Lovers

First and foremost, many many congratulations to the two of you. We are super happy that the knot is going to be tied and can’t wait to be a part of this momentous occasion… so now that we got that out of the way let’s get down to business. 😉

Why has the Bachelor Party portion of the website not been constructed yet?? I mean this a fairly, if not the most important part, opps I meant 2nd most important of a man’s life into wedding hood. Clearly the exchange of vows is the most important by a long shot no doubt about it

Any how you guys are great and we are very much looking forward to the celebration.

    Much love to you guys
    Michael and Erica

ps. you guys are getting a keg of Yinglings right?? the true champagne of beers hands down.

  10. I would also like to offer my congratulations on the upcoming nuptials. I am so happy for you guys! The one thing that could get me to leave my babies and travel to the opposite side of the country is a Nangabe wedding. I can’t wait.

    Love ya both,

    Kalimah

  11. Man oh man, Congrats Gabe. You are one lucky dude! But enough about Gabe that blessed son of a gun! Nancy! I’m sitting at my desk remembering the old days and I thought I’ll just google Nancy Bartlett and see what I come up with. My GOD YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!My golden goddess
of Pittsburg. Yes, you were skinny and all arms and legs and five giant sized years older than me…you probably don’t even remember me. I remember you….
never to forget you. There you were standing on top of a mountain of snow singing ” I’m on top of the world..looking down on creation…” all screamy and loud. What a girl! You were an angel in a big puffy coat.Your voice was at a fever pitch.I just stood and stared ….in pure simple childhood love. You and your sister playing badminton always in rock and roll mode…..oh my god you’re getting married ..I would have married you there and then.
I moved away before highschool and dropped out to travel the world. Well I got as far as Biloxi and that is one wierd place. I stayed there for about 5 years and became sort of an entrepreneur selling Grateful Dead car air fresheners. You know, those dead heads drive alot..I figured.Well, that floudered for awhile. I think if I could have held on till Jerry died it could have gone big…but live and learn.ha ha.. Then I moved to Cleveland and got into a deal that was way ahead of it’s time- taking the lint from all the dryers in a circut of laundromats and mixing it a foam process for insulation….the charges were dropped on the arson case but it was time to move again. Then on to Boing, Idaho. More excitment.
Oh hell..enough about me YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!
If only I had spoken up long ago you might be tying that knot with me! I’m sure they would parole me long enough for a honeymoon. Well maybe not but I bet you’re that special kind of woman who can deal with conjugal visits.
I wish you both luck and many many years of love.
I will get past this….but Nancy you will always be part of me.

  12. Nancy!!!!! Gabe!!!!!!!! Gotta get on the field, no matter what- you two did it. Now as long as Gabe can get the time off work this should work out fine.

  13. So I had this absolutely wacky dream last night that Gabe wound up marrying this rocker dude who kept calling him baby while we were all watching a baseball game. Nancy and I just kept giggling and while toasting the happy couple, the two blondes decided to take off to parts unknown in search of sun and sand. GEEZ LOUISE!!!! Love you two more than Motley Crue!

  14. you know, I still vividly remember Gabe telling me six years ago about this woman who had just left SF and moved back to the east coast. despite his sadness, I was encouraged for him and amazed at his calm resolve that her departure was not the end of their story.

as you can imagine, I couldn’t wait to meet she who had made such a life-altering impact on this fantastic cat whom I had the enviable pleasure of counting as a roommate. years later I moved to NYC and on his birthday was finally able to meet the person who had so moved his soul, and the warmth Nancy shared with me revealed immediately what kept Gabe motivated.

ever since then, I have counted myself as one of the world’s luckiest to be a part of the Gabe and Nancy Show. the love you share for each other is what inspires poets and enriches all of our lives!

thank you both so much for graciously including all of us in your wonderful world.

  15. CONGRATS to the happy couple!!! Gabe I am so proud of you! You are an inspiration to many, but I want you to know that over all of my 24 years I have always admired you and strived to be somewhat cool like you! You truely are an amazing person, brother, friend and artist. You deserve only the best in life and that is why I am so happy you are celebrating your love with Nancy. Nancy you too are a kind hearted, talented, loving individual and I could not ask for a better wife for my brother. You are going to make him complete. I love you both and continue to look forward to how this whole love story will unfold. Much love Brother and soon to be sister!

  16. Wow, the only thing missing from this site are rides! And burritos!! Well here’s a virtual kiss on the head GabeyBaby and one for you, too, Miss Bartlett. The decisions to a.)reunite, b.)give it a go in NY, c.)move into that flat that is 13% MORE, and d.)to marry one another … were all the RIGHT ones. Part fate, part good luck and one large part love/committment & working at it! Love to you both. If at all possible I would be honoured to join you. If not, I’ll see you for your Giants game. Many blessings upon you!

    Mazal Tov!

  18. Question for our most recent post-er, Mr Yos to the Mostest himself:

Does the offer for a few favors extend beyond the dear sister and devoted brotha? (Ya’ll can keep your dirty minds to yourselves.) Just wondering how Yos’ sewing skills are.

Well, sir? How are you with a needle and thread? Or, better yet, at pouring me a scotch and soda while I sew (and whistle whilst I work)? Amazing how expletives can sound like a lovely tune when filtered through a whistle….

Ditto on the Mazal Tov! (Hee hee – always wanted to say Mazal Tov, kids.)

  19. So, like, this is my first real visit to the site and might I say it is dashingly well-done! Kudos to the wedding team!

I never had a sister, but how fresh is it that now I have a white one (don’t tell my mom!) who’s born on the same day as me!!! Love her to pieces and bits, I do! And that Gabe person – is there any man studlier, handsomer, more well-spoken, funky-fresher than he? I think not. Yet another match orchestrated by the Universe! Always heaps and piles of tranquilities and blessings on the lovers.

Let me clear my throat, I think I feel a song comin’ on…
